One of the most popular response,when we ask candidates, as to why they are looking to change their job, is that they are looking for growth. we make it a point to ask them as to what do they mean by growth. Most often the answer is better pay or higher designation or a larger span of control. By larger span they mean from individual to team roles or from smaller teams to larger teams.
Can career growth really be defined only in terms of monetary or positional growth? and are these really valid reasons to think of a job change ?
How important is a role and the sense of responsibility while evaluating a change? And what about the potential to learn & contribute ? Does growth always has to be to a higher designation?
